Press release from Han Held

For the third year in a row, AvatarFest celebrates the hypergrid-based opensim community and what we - the people who live out here - make and do in virtual worlds. Once again AvatarFest will showcase original builds from talented creators for visitors to experience as well as feature performing artists to entertain visitors.
-
We are pleased to announce that while we've had many applications for exhibitors, we still have some spaces left -but not a lot of time! The deadline to submit your application to be a performer or exhibitor is drawing close.
-
We would like to ask for performers to be a part of AvatarFest: We have 6 slots to fill on the opening weekend (23/24 Sept.).
-
We are hoping that singers, bands and other performing artists would like to entertain the crowds at Avatarfest. If you are a performer, please get in contact with us via the website: http://avatarfest.net!
-
The deadline to submit applications is August 15th.  So if you would like to be a part of AvatarFest, please use these forms to apply:

If you have a project or avocation that you'd like to show off to the world at large, please submit your applications by August 15th. While we cannot accept applications involving for-profit projects (such as hosting) we're happy to showcase individual non-commercial projects, hobbies, peer support, group and other "amateur" activities.
-
Once applications close we will take a couple of days for processing and then open the region up for exhibitors to begin building (Aug 17 probably). Beginning on Sept 17th we will close the region and start troubleshooting and fixing any technical issues that might have come up.
-
AvatarFest is the celebration of the strength and diversity of the hypergrid user community. We hope to see you all there!
